Krabi locals, not seasonal staff
Barracudas Tour is a family-run operator in Ao Nang, Krabi, running island tours since 1992, and our captains and guides are from the area. They live and work here, and they know the islands, the tides and the marine life around them through thousands of trips rather than a season or two of work.
Our guides speak English. Other languages can sometimes be arranged, so ask when you book.
What local knowledge actually buys you
Knowing the area is what lets a guide move a group ahead of the crowd, reaching Phra Nang or the Hong lagoon at a quieter moment, or picking the snorkelling spot where the water is clearest that day.
It is also what lets a captain make the call when the wind changes: which stop to swap, which order to run the day in, when to wait twenty minutes and when to move on. Those decisions are the difference between a good day and an average one, and they cannot be written into an itinerary in advance.
